Former Amarillo Defenseman Breyer makes NCAA DIII Commitment

The Amarillo Wranglers of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that former defenseman Ashton Breyer has committed to play NCAA Division III for Skidmore College in the NEHC.
Breyer was in his first season with the Amarillo Wranglers and was recently traded to the Anchorage Wolverines on February 1. The 6’4 blueliner has scored one goal and produced four assists over 35 games this season. A native of Mound, Minnesota, Breyer had previously spent time in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) and the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) prior to joining the Wranglers. In the 2023-24 season, Breyer scored 2 goals and 10 assists in 43 games with the Notre Dame Hounds.
"I'm beyond excited for the opportunity to attend Skidmore," said Breyer. "Academics and a strong hockey program were key factors in my decision, and Skidmore is the perfect place to pursue both my academic and athletic goals."
Breyer was the first member of the Amarillo Wranglers to make a college ice hockey commitment.
