The Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) is proud to announce that forward, Tommy Cronin, has committed to play NCAA Division I for University of Alaska Fairbanks.
The 5’10 righty from Edina, Minnesota is in his second season with the Bismarck Bobcats. He returned to the Bobcats lineup during their New Year’s Eve game. Cronin has tallied two goals and made three assists in seven games this season. The 20-year-old spent time with the Green Bay Gamblers (USHL) and the Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL) this year. Last season with Bismarck, he found the back of the net 21 times, made 38 assists, and ended his season with a +24 rating.
Head coach of the Bobcats, Garrett Roth, shares more about Cronin’s efforts on and off the ice.
“Tommy is a high-character, hard-working young man who can make his teammates better. He has proven at this level to be able to produce at a high level offensively, but it's the intangibles he brings that will continue to separate him as he continues to advance in his career. We are excited for Tommy and his family as he has earned this opportunity to be a big contributor to the continued success that UAF has had under coach Largen.”
Cronin is the thirteenth member of the Bismarck Bobcats to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
