NAHL Announces 2025 Top Prospects Tournament Schedule and Format
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced that the 2025 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament will be held at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan from February 17-18, 2025. The NAHL Top Prospects Tournament returns to the USA Hockey Arena for the first time since 2018.
The NAHL Top Prospects Tournament is one of the most highly scouted events of its kind, featuring almost every NCAA Division I school and NHL team. The event continues to provide hundreds of eyes from the NCAA and NHL scouts who are looking at the best uncommitted players that the NAHL has to offer, as well as some potential NHL Draft picks.
The event will feature six teams each playing two games. Four of the squads will be divisional teams that consist of athletes from their respective divisions. There will also be two at large ‘Selects’ teams. The athletes on the ‘Selects Black’ team is composed of the remaining uncommitted nominated players from all four divisions. The ‘Selects Gold’ team features players chosen with the input from the NHL’s Central Scouting Department.
Each team is composed of 20 players (12 forwards, 6 defensemen, 2 goalies) for a total of 120 athletes.The players are nominated by their head coach. Players are nominated by their head coach (three forwards and two defensemen). Teams may submit a goaltender, but it is not mandatory.

Monday, February 17th
➜ South vs. Selects Gold, 1:00 PM
➜ Selects Black vs. East, 4:00 PM
➜ Central vs. Midwest, 7:00 PM
Tuesday, February 18th
➜ East vs. South, 10:00 AM
➜ Selects Black vs. Central, 1:00 PM
➜ Selects Gold vs. Midwest, 4:00 PM

Scouts now have an established roadmap to track a player’s development, which includes assessments throughout the season and then making a determination based on his progression.”
