Maine draws closer to the top spot in the East Division

Rochester 1 @ Maine 3: The Nordiques continued their winning ways Thursday night at The Colisee, taking down the Jr. Americans 3-1 to earn their seventh consecutive victory. After a scoreless opening frame, Ethan Wongus broke the deadlock eight minutes into the 2nd period, netting his 14th of the season. Alexandre Pellerin doubled Maine’s lead past the halfway mark of the 3rd. Liam Chapman drew the visitors within a goal minutes later but Laurent Trepanier put the finishing touches with a goal late in regulation. Carter Richardson continued to stay dominant between the pipes, stopping 21 of 22 shots in his 7th consecutive win. Danick Leroux made 30 saves in the losing effort for the Jr. Americans.
