Colorado Goaltender Erickson makes NCAA DI Commitment
The Colorado Grit of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) is proud to announce that goaltender Jack Erickson has committed to play NCAA Division I for Bentley University in the Atlantic.
The 6’1 netminder hailing from Minnesota has been electric between the pipes for the Grit. Erickson posted a 2.590 goals against average and a .918 save percentage over 25 games for Colorado. The second-year Colorado veteran has produced two shutouts this season while leading goaltenders on his squad with his goals against average, save percentage, and wins.
"I am so thankful for the opportunities and experiences I got playing for the Grit," said Erickson. "I could not have gotten this chance to move on and play Division I hockey without the support and encouragement of all the players and staff. I am very excited to achieve a dream of playing Division I hockey at Bentley University. I can not thank everyone enough at the Grit organization for helping me achieve it.”
Erickson also shares his gratitude to Bentley.
“Thank you to the staff at Bentley University for giving me this opportunity and believing in me. I could not be more happy to join the community and team."
Colorado Grit head coach, Kevin Holmstrom, explains how Erickson is a valuable member of the squad.
"Jack has played at a very high level for us this season and gives us an opportunity to win each night, he has truly earned this. He is so respected by all of his teammates and our staff. I could not be happier for Jack, his family, and the opportunity he will have at Bentley."
Erickson is the first member of the Colorado Grit to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
