Anchorage Defenseman Devlin makes NCAA DI Commitment

The Anchorage Wolverines of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Brock Devlin has committed to play NCAA Division I for Dartmouth College in the ECAC.

The 5’10 lefty from the “Golden State” has had an electric season with the Wolverines. He has produced at least one point in 24 out of 30 games he has played this season. The ‘05 blueliner leads all defensemen in the NAHL in total points (40), assists (32), and points per game (1.33). The second-year veteran was named the Bauer Hockey Defenseman of the Month in October while being named runner-up twice for November and December.

Devlin shares his excitement to join the Big Green. 

“I am excited and proud to announce my commitment to play Division I Ice Hockey at Dartmouth College. I would like to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for making this possible.”

Head coach of the Wolverines, Nick Walters explains how committed Devlin was to his craft.

“Myself, coaches, and the entire team are ecstatic for Brock’s commitment to Dartmouth. We all knew it was only a matter of time before college teams were chomping at the bit to lure Brock to their school. Dartmouth is getting a student of the game; a player that craves information and ways to hone his craft. Brock is a defenseman who does special things with the puck offensively. Some of those offensive instincts I don’t believe can be taught. They’re getting a player who can run the power play, break pucks out with his passing or skating, and create offense consistently. Again, we couldn’t be happier for Brock. He set the goal of wanting to play for an Ivy League school, and this commitment shows that when you work hard and are driven, great things can happen."

Devlin is the sixth member of the Anchorage Wolverines to make a Division I hockey college commitment.
