3HL Showcase highlights weekend of player opportunity and exposure
The NA3HL Showcase wrapped up this past Tuesday at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. Showcasing all 35 NA3HL squads in three regular-season matchups, teams had the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of NCAA and ACHA scouts. With all 35 NAHL teams in attendance, every player had the additional exposure to be potential call-ups and tenders for those NAHL squads.
Alexandria Blizzard head coach, Jeff Crouse, shared that “this is an awesome event. The league does a great job. Seeing all the scouts, all the NA teams looking at our guys is a great opportunity for them to showcase their talents.”
In conjunction with the NA3HL Showcase, every NAPHL T1ER team took the ice while welcoming 40 NAT1HL organizations at the 18U level. This offered squads a one-of-a-kind opportunity to be exposed to the NAHL. Players had the chance to demonstrate their skills directly to NAHL coaches and scouts, allowing them a clear path to potential junior hockey opportunities.
Justin DeMartino, the Assistant General Manager of the Watertown Shamrocks and coach of the Fox Motors 18U team shares why this event was important to bring his athletes to.
“You want to make sure that our kids are exposed to as many scouts as possible. We want to find out what the teams are looking for and make sure that every athlete has the opportunity to be seen by as many junior scouts as possible.”
