Rebels Rout Titans on Tuesday
New Jersey 1 @ Philadelphia 7 - Three points from Charles Panchisin led the way as the Philadelphia Rebels were all over the New Jersey Titans on Tuesday night picking up a 7-1 victory.
After a scoreless opening 20, Michael Mathison scored his first goal of hte season to put the Rebels on the board first. The lead was short lived as Ryan Novo responded with eighth of the year just 94 seconds later. The time the game was tied was even shorter as Mathison came back with his second of the night just 26 seconds after and the Rebels wouldn't look back. Panchisin scored twice in under two minutes to quickly expand the lead to 4-1. Caesar Bjork added his sixth of the campaign to increase the lead to 5-1 at the second intermission.
In the final frame, Brock Jones and Luke Janviriya scored 42 seconds apart to blow the game wide open and erase any hope of a New Jersey comeback. Owen Crudale was the winner in between the pipes as he stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced on the evening. Austin McNicholas and Charlie Mistretta combined to stop 30 of the 37 shots on goal thrown at them by Philadelphia. With the win, the Rebels now put themselves into a tie with Elmira and Northeast for the fifth place in the East Division.
