Odessa Forward Fechko makes NCAA DI Commitment

The Odessa Jackalopes of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that Forward Marcus Fechko has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Tennessee State University in the 2025-2026 season. 

He is not the first Fechko to commit to Tennessee State University. His older brother, Trey Fechko, announced his commitment earlier this year to the Tigers. 

Marcus Fechko, 19, is entering his second season in the NAHL. He started his 2023-2024 campaign with the Janesville Jets and then moved to the Odessa Jackalopes for the rest of the season. In his 24 games played in his rookie season, he picked up three goals and five assists. So far this season, the 5’11 forward has garnered three goals and two assists in his nine games played with the Jackalopes.

“I’m proud to announce my commitment to play Division I hockey for the 2025-26 season at Tennessee State University.” said Marcus. “I want to thank my family, teammates, coaches and everyone else who helped me along the way.”

Fechko is the fifth NAHL player this season to make a NCAA Division I commitment to the incoming Tennessee State University program.
