by Drew Langevin

Andrew Piccirillo netted a goal in the win for the Aviators

With Johnstown taking the victory on Saturday, the Tomahawks were looking to sweep the weekend with a win against the Aviators on Sunday. Elmira would strike late in the first, with goals coming from Andrew Piccirillo and the captain, Sean Williams. Within seconds, Taybor Aldrich would cut the lead in half for the Tomahawks, and the period would finish 2-1. Quickly into the second, Adam Ondris would tie this one up at two. Andrew DellaDonna would break the tie, putting Elmira ahead. The lead would be doubled when Jett Otwell added an unassisted shorthanded goal later in the second. In the third, Dylan Shane would again cut the lead in half nearing the end of a power play. DellaDonna would be quick to respond and would give Elmira the two-goal lead back. Elmira would score again and Otwell would add a late insurance goal to complete the 7-3 victory for the Aviators. Adam Prokop would have 33 saves in the victory, Zack Ferris would have 31 saves in the loss.
