Offensive Onslaught Leads Titans Past Hat Tricks

New Jersey 9 @ Danbury 5 - The New Jersey Titans got two goals and an assist from both Ryan Friedman and Jack Hillier as topped the Danbury Hat Tricks 9-5 on Tuesday night. Danbury would strike first in this one as Niko Tournas and Luke Golisano got on the board just over seven minutes into the contest. Hillier's first of the night came in the final minute of the opening 20 with Danbury taking a 2-1 lead into the break.
In the second, it was a tidal wave of offense for the Titans as they netted three goals in just over two minutes. The first goal coming off the stick of Ryan Novo and then Friedman followed up with two tallies in 33 seconds. James Schneid capped off the excellent period for New Jersey with his second goal of the season and the Titans took a 5-2 lead into the locker room.
The scoring would continue in the third as Ben Dempster converted just 91 seconds into the final frame but New Jersey answered with two goals of their own in the next two minutes to increase their lead to 7-3. Golisano's second of hte game and the sixth of the season from Gates Omicioli brought Danbury back into the game, making the score 7-5. In the closing minutes Hillier left no doubt as he netted his second of the night and Odin Ford provided an exclamation point to cap off the 9-5 win for New Jersey.
Austin McNicholas was the winner in the blue paint for New Jersey as he stopped 33 of 38 shots. Thomas Kiesewetter and Jack Fialkoff combined to stop 25 shots for Danbury.
