Tomahawks defenseman Capos makes NCAA DI Commitment

The Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Michal Capos has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Western Michigan University in the NCHC.
Capos, a 17-year-old from Slovakia, is a first-year player in the NAHL who has relocated to the United States to advance his junior hockey career. The 2007 blueliner has appeared in five games thus far for Johnstown, recording an assist during the NAHL Showcase against the Janesville Jets.
"We are very excited for Michal to commit to Western Michigan. He has only been with us for two weeks, but you can instantly see his potential as a defenseman. He’s a big, rangy player with a great defensive stick, he is able to disrupt plays early thanks to his ability to anticipate opponents. That speaks volumes about his hockey IQ,” stated Tomahawks Head Coach Jared Kersner. “Michal is quick at getting the puck to his forehand, processes his options rapidly, and is an efficient breakout player. We’re thrilled to have him join the Tomahawks and help him develop as he progresses to college and beyond."
Capos is the 1st player to commit for the Tomahawks this season.
