NA Now: Odessa Jackalopes

The NA Now video series will feature an in-depth look into all NAHL teams in preparation for the 2024-25 season, with one team being highlighted daily, leading all the way up until the start of the regular season on September 13th. NA Now will include interviews with each team’s head coach, as they provide fans with their expectations and outlook for the 2024-25 season.

Head Coach: Scott Deur (4th season)

2023-24 season record: 23-29-5-3 – 54 points (7th in South Division)

2023-24 leading scorer: Cameron Dunn (55 points)

2024-25 Division: South Division

With a young group last season, head coach Scott Deur is looking forward to the large group of returners and the experience they will bring with them to the South Division this season. Deur believes in the culture they are trying to build in Odessa, one that promotes player experience and ultimately, advancement. With playing experience and coaching experience in the North American Hockey League, Scott reflects on the connections he’s built with fellow coaches and players and what being a part of the league means to him. After missing the playoffs in the last few seasons, the Jackalopes are determined to make it back this year, and anything less is unacceptable.
