Wolverines goaltender Beerman makes NCAA DI Commitment

The Anchorage Wolverines of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Liam Beerman has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Lindenwood University.

Beerman, 19, played his first season of junior hockey with the Anchorage Wolverines, appearing in 51 games, 9 of which being Robertson Cup Playoff contests. Throughout his rookie year, the Marquette, MI native posted a 33-12-1-2 record, maintaining a goals against average of 2.35 and a save percentage of .924, all while recording 6 shutouts. 

With over 1,300 saves, his best game of the year came on January 26th as the Wolverines defeated the Kenai River Brown Bears by a score of 2-1. During this victory, the 6’0” netminder turned away 41 of 42 shots against their in-state rivals. 

“I know I can speak for the entire coaching staff and organization when I say we are extremely excited about Liam’s commitment to Lindenwood. We knew it would only be a matter of time before he committed. Beerman played a huge role on our team last year,” stated Wolverines Head Coach Nick Walters. “Tied for first in the league with wins, he was our backbone during our late season win streak, point streak, and playoff run that resulted in a trip to the Robertson Cup. Our guys had a team first mentality last year so it is always great seeing guys achieve individual success as a result of having team success.”

Beerman is the 8th player to commit for the Wolverines this season.
