NA Now: Minnesota Mallards

The NA Now video series will feature an in-depth look into all NAHL teams in preparation for the 2024-25 season, with one team being highlighted daily, leading all the way up until the start of the regular season on September 13th. NA Now will include interviews with each team’s head coach, as they provide fans with their expectations and outlook for the 2024-25 season.

Head Coach: Terry Watt (1st season)

2024-25 Division: Central Division

Incoming head coach Terry Watt couldn’t be more thrilled about the opportunity to become head coach in the North American Hockey League. He wants him, his staff, and his players to compete at a high level in the Central Division in their inaugural season. Surrounded by a hockey hotbed in Minnesota, the team's crop of players and surrounding excitement couldn’t be better than it is now in Forest Lake. Watt has two prior experiences starting a brand new roster in his previous role; the process of developing the roster has been a challenge but also exciting in that they’re able to develop an immediate culture and environment. To succeed early in the strong Central Division,  Watt and his staff have brought in players who compete, have good character, and will buy into the process.
