Jackalopes defenseman Vardy makes NCAA DIII Commitment

The Odessa Jackalopes of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Lemual Vardy has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Trine University in the MIAA.

Vardy, 20, was called up to the NAHL during his 18U year, playing three games with the Amarillo Wranglers during the 2021-22 season before joining the Jackalopes the following year. Throughout his time in the NAHL, the Raleigh, NC native appeared in 118, recording 19 points (1 goal, 18 assists). 

During a weekend series with the Colorado Grit this past September, Vardy had his best weekend of his career, recording four assists in two games. 

Vardy is the 8th player to commit for the Jackalopes this season.
