Janesville forward Stevens makes NCAA DIII Commitment

The Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Nicholas Stevens has committed to playing NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stout in the WIAC Conference.
Stevens, 21, just completed his third season of junior hockey, all while playing in the NAHL. His junior career began in the 2021-22 campaign, playing in stints with the New Jersey Titans and Granite City Lumberjacks of the NA3HL before joining the Kenai River Brown Bears. In 48 games with Kenai River that season, Nicholas finished with 6 goals and 11 assists.
The Little Falls, Minnesota native would continue his tenure with the Brown Bears through the following two seasons; heading into the 2023-2024 season he was named captain of the Midwest Division club. Nicholas had a productive 39 games this season with Kenai, tallying 35 points (15 goals, 20 assists). He was then traded to the Janesville Jets where he finished his junior hockey career.
Overall, Stevens has played in 161 regular season NAHL games, amassing 36 goals and 48 assists. He will join North Iowa’s Zach Laurila at Wisconsin-Stout in the upcoming fall.
