IceRays forward Pelton makes NCAA DI Commitment
The Corpus Christi IceRays of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Troy Pelton has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Union College in the ECAC.
Pelton, 19, appeared in 20 games for the IceRays during his rookie season of junior hockey. The Clifton Park, NY native recorded 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists), starting his time off in the NAHL with a three game point streak, scoring two goals and notching one assist to kick off the season. Pelton ended the year on a high note with a three point weekend against the Colorado Grit where he was able to score one goal and tally two additional assists.
“He’s a great kid, we are really excited for Pelts. He’s worked extremely hard and his hard work has definitely paid off,” stated IceRays Head Coach Sylvain Cloutier.
Pelton is the 4th player to commit for the IceRays this season.
