NAHL Announces Schedule for 2024 Showcase
The “Greatest Show on Ice” returns to Blaine, MN as the North American Hockey League’s (NAHL) 2024 Showcase will be held from September 25-28th. This year's Showcase will feature all 35 NAHL teams plus the USNTDP 17U team to play in three games at the Super Rink, making it one of hockey’s most prominent and popular events of the entire season.
The NAHL Showcase attracts over 9,000 people in overall attendance, including more than 300+ professional, college and junior scouts. For scouting purposes, the NAHL Showcase is the premier event of its kind and is a yearly gathering for every NCAA program and NHL team as they get their first look at some of the best and brightest hockey talent North America has to offer. One of the things the NAHL does better than any other junior league is seeing their players earn an NCAA opportunity while playing and being showcased in the NAHL. To date, 361 players have already made NCAA commitments during the 2023-24 season, with 274 of those (76%) being NCAA Division I commitments.
The NAHL Showcase plays a big role in that success, with dozens of players each season earning an NCAA Division I opportunity during and following their participation in the event.
The Showcase also marks the first event of the season for the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) as well. Over 100 youth teams will be playing at the event, including the T1ER League and FALL League. These events held simultaneously allows for greater exposure for players by having NHL, DI, DIII and Junior coaches under one roof. The NAPHL is made up of USA Hockey-sanctioned teams that compete in the 18U, 16U, 15U and 14U levels.
All 54 NAHL Showcase games will be broadcasted live and in HD on NAHLTV.
