Mudbugs forward Marino makes NCAA DIII Commitment

The Shreveport Mudbugs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Nick Marino has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of New England in the CCC.
Marino, 20, is a two-year NAHL player, suiting up for 100 regular season games with the Mudbugs, in addition to 17 Robertson Cup Playoff games. Throughout his time in Louisiana, the Lynn, MA native tallied 60 points (27 goals, 33 assists), doubling his point totals from year one to year two.
Of his 27 goals, 6 were the deciding factor for the Mudbugs while 8 came on the powerplay. With plenty of offensive success, Marino was able to get on the scoresheet twice or more in a single contest on 14 occasions, earning himself a spot in the 2024 Top Prospects Tournament.
Marino is the 10th player to commit for the Mudbugs this season and will be one of four incoming freshmen with NAHL ties for the Nor’Easters.
