Bulls forward Laurila makes NCAA DIII Commitment
The North Iowa Bulls of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Zach Laurila has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin - Stout in the WIAC.
Laurila, 21, spent his first season at the NAHL level with the North Iowa Bulls, appearing in 35 games, recording 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists). Prior to being called up to the NAHL squad, the Milwaukee, WI native spent the first half of the season with North Iowa’s NA3HL affiliate, the Mason City Toros.
In addition to spending the first 28 games of the 2023-2024 season with the Toros, Laurila also split time during the 2022-2023 season with the Rochester Grizzlies and Mason City Toros of the NA3HL. In total, Laurila suited up for 72 games at the Tier 3 level, recording 62 points (21 goals, 41 assists), including 1 game winning goal, 1 power play goal and 1 shorthanded goal this season.
Laurila is one of 10 players to commit for the Bulls this season.
