Norsemen defenseman Orrey makes NCAA DI Commitment

The St. Cloud Norsemen of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Keaton Orrey has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Miami University - Ohio.

Orrey, 18, completed his first year of junior hockey in the NAHL with the St. Cloud Norsemen, appearing in 53 games. During his time in St. Cloud, the Eagan, MN native tallied 19 points (6 goals, 13 assists), including 1 game winning goal and 2 power play goals for the Norsemen. As a successful rookie defenseman, Orrey was selected to attend the 2024 Top Prospects Tournament in Pittsburgh, PA.

"We are very excited for Keaton and his commitment to play for the University of Miami-Ohio. As a 17-year-old rookie stepping into the league, he continued to get better every day and made an impact on our team with his hard work and dedication on and off the ice,” stated Assistant Coach Mike Holenko.  

Orrey is the 9th player to commit for the Norsemen this season.
