Wings forward Wisener makes USports Commitment

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce that forward Matthew Wisener has announced his commitment to play hockey at Ontario Tech University, a USPORTS program!
Wisener is a 6’0” left-shot forward from Winnipeg, MB, CAN who came to the Wings at the beginning of the season. Prior to playing in the NAHL, he played in the MJHL. This season with the Wings, he appeared in 54 regular season games scoring 12 goals, 25 assists, totaling 37 points.
“Matt has been a great Wing.” Said Head Coach Scott Langer, “He exemplifies our identity when it comes to his play and he has been a big piece of keeping our culture intact as a twenty-year-old. Matt is going to be a very good college hockey player.”
“I am proud to announce that I will be attending and continuing to play hockey at Ontario Tech University next season. I am excited to be playing for a great USPORTS organization and attending a great school at Ontario Tech. I would like to thank the Wings organization and the fans for supporting me this season” said Matthew Wisener.
This season, Ontario Tech had a record of 14-15-0 under Head Coach Curtis Hodgins, and Assistant Coaches Rob Powers and Joe Piccone.
