Colorado defenseman Cooke makes NCAA DIII Commitment

The Colorado Grit of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Hunter Cooke has announced his commitment to play NCAA Division III college hockey for Lake Forest College.
Cooke, 21, just completed his first season in the NAHL and final season of junior hockey. The rookie blue liner recorded a pair of points throughout the 53 games he played for the inaugural Grit roster. Cooke recorded his first NAHL point at the 2023 NAHL Showcase in September, tallying an assist in a 5-3 win over the North Iowa Bulls.
Prior to playing junior hockey, Hunter played six seasons for the Colorado Thunderbirds AAA program. He is the first NAHL player to commit to Lake Forest College this year and 4th player from the Grit roster who has committed to play college hockey.
