NHL Debut
Mason Morelli, Vegas Golden Knights (Minot Minotauros): Former NAHL and Minot Minotauros defenseman Mason Morelli made his NHL debut on Monday night, February 19th, with the Vegas Golden Knights in their 4-0 win over the San Jose Sharks. The Minot, North Dakota native got the call-up after playing 44 games with the Henderson Silver Knights of the AHL. In Henderson, Morelli has tallied 10 goals and 13 assists in 44 games. He wasted no time getting on the points sheet Monday, scoring his first NHL goal in the opening period and dishing an assist later in the contest.

Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week: Jason Grande, Holy Cross (Amarillo Bulls) - Grande turned in back-to-back 30-save performances in the Crusaders’ home-and-home sweep of Sacred Heart. The West Chester, Pa., native held the Pioneers off the scoreboard for 59:52 of Friday’s contest before SHU found the back of the net. He followed that up by limiting the Pios to one power-play goal in Saturday’s series finale to complete the sweep. This is fifth career Atlantic Hockey weekly honor.

CCHA Forward of the Week: Jere Vaisanen, Bemidji State (Amarillo Bulls) - Vaisanen paced all CCHA skaters with three points last week, scoring two goals and assisting on another, to help Bemidji State take 5-of-6 points from Ferris State last weekend. Posting a +2 rating, he had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime victory on Friday night, before tallying the final goal in a 4-1 win on Saturday. For the week, he totaled three shots on goal and won 52% (13-of-25) face-offs.
CCHA Defenseman of the Week: Jack Blanchett, Lake Superior State (Maryland Black Bears) - Blanchett scored the game-winning goal and was a +1 on Friday night in the Lakers’ 3-0 shutout of Augustana. For the week, he collected three shots on goal, as Lake Superior State split its two-game set with the Vikings.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Cole Moore, Bowling Green (Aberdeen Wings) - Moore went 1-0-1 with a 0.58 goals-against average and a .984 save percentage in 103:32 minutes of action last weekend. Coming on in relief on Friday night, he stopped all 32 shots he faced in a 3-3 tie at St. Thomas, helping the Falcons win in a shootout. Getting the start on Saturday, he made 30 saves in a 3-1 Bowling Green victory. Stopping 62-of-64 shots on the weekend, he turned away double-digit attempts in each of the second and third periods on both nights.

AHL Player of the Week: Ivan Prosvetov, Colorado Eagles (Minnesota Magicians) - Prosvetov won all three of his starts last week, turning aside 93 of 98 shots for a 1.67 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage. On Wednesday evening, Prosvetov made 25 saves to backstop the Eagles to a 2-1 victory over Bakersfield. On Saturday, he made 38 saves and allowed only a pair of power-play goals in a 5-2 win at Coachella Valley. And on Sunday, Prosvetov stopped 30 of 32 shots as Colorado downed the Condors, 5-2.

ECHL Player of the Week: Brandon Hawkins, Toledo Walleye (Texas Tornado) - Hawkins scored four goals and added an assist for five points in two games last week. The 29-year-old notched a hat trick, while adding an assist, in a 6-4 win at Cincinnati on Friday before adding a goal in a 4-2 loss at Kalamazoo on Saturday. A native of Macomb, Michigan, Hawkins leads the ECHL with 29 goals and 62 points in 47 games this season.
