Lone Star defenseman Ingles makes NCAA DI Commitment
The Lone Star Brahmas of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that defenseman Bryce Ingles has announced he has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Robert Morris University in the Atlantic Hockey Conference.
Ingles, 18, is playing his first season in the NAHL and first in junior hockey. The Clyde, Michigan native has been a consistent two-way defenseman for the 1st-place Brahmas, leading all Lone Star blue-liners with 31 points (6 goals, 25 assists) in 47 games played so far this season. His offensive production has surged as of late; he’s currently on a seven-game point streak with four of those games being multi-point performances. Throughout this season, Ingles leads the entire NAHL with a +37 rating.
“I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to play Division 1 college hockey and continue my education at Robert Morris University! I’d like to thank my coaches, family, friends, teammates and all my loved ones who have helped me along the way!” said Ingles.
Recently, Ingles was selected to and participated in the 2024 Top Prospects Tournament in Pennsylvania where he represented team Selects Silver.
“Bryce is one of the best character kids we’ve had here in a long at Lone Star and he’s really put in a lot of work on and off the ice. He deserves everything he gets with his commitment to RMU. We are very excited and proud of him,” said Dan Wildfong, head coach and GM of the Lone Star Brahmas.
Bryce joins a growing list of NCAA Division I commits from Lone Star, becoming the 8th Brahma to advance to the Division I level. He will be joining current NAHLers Patrick Johnson (Bismarck), Isaac Holt (Johnstown), Michael Felsing (Minnesota), and Dominic Elliot (Oklahoma) at Robert Morris University in the near future.
