Rebels Score Overtime Victory on Tuesday
Danbury 3 @ Philadelphia 4 (OT): The Philadelphia Rebels took home the victory after a wild back-and-forth game where they never held the lead until overtime. Logan Nickerson got on the board first for Danbury with his eighth of the season. Later in the frame, Brayton Frick netted his first of the year to even the game at one. In the second period, Josh Erickson grabbed his first of the season for Danbury to put them in front again but Jared Coccimigilio countered to knot the game once again heading into the third. In the final frame Ivan Korodiuk found the back of the net to give Danbury their third lead of the game. Two and a half minutes later Luke Minard tied the game and forced overtime. Just 1:08 into the extra period, Charles Panchisin netted the game winning goal to keep the Rebels in the playoff race and earn the extra point in the standings. Owen Curdle was the winner in goal as he made 32 saves for Philadelphia. Lukas Fursten was given the loss after he stopped 25 shots.
