New Jersey forward Rivelli makes NCAA DI Commitment

Rivelli has 62 points in his NAHL career.

The New Jersey Titans are proud to announce the commitment of captain Dominick Rivelli to the University of Massachusetts – Lowell for the 2024-25 season.  Rivelli, who played in his 100th NAHL game earlier this season, leads New Jersey with 17 goals this season, setting a new career high, and was named the ninth captain of the Titans in October.

“We couldn’t be happier for Dom and his family on his commitment to UMass-Lowell,” said Titans Head Coach and General Manager Craig Doremus. “Dom came in on day one of the summer and quickly became a key part of the fabric of our team. His maturity, demeanor, experience, and integrity speaks volumes to his upbringing and who represents as a person. He has been one of the key contributors to our offense, and his work ethic has set the example for our younger players in their adjustment to the NAHL. Dom joins one of the most respected programs in Hockey East and we can’t wait to see him succeed at the collegiate level.”

The University of Massachusetts – Lowell jumped to the NCAA Division I level in 1983 and was a founding member of Hockey East. Led by Head Coach Norm Bazin since 2011, the River Hawks appeared in five straight Hockey East Championships from 2013 to 2017, winning three times. They most recently appeared in the Championship game in 2021. Their roster has featured NHL alumni such as Connor Hellebuyck and Ron Hainsey, along with Craig MacTavish, a four-time Stanley Cup Champion and former Head Coach and General Manager of the Edmonton Oilers.

“It means everything to me to commit to play Division I hockey at Lowell,” said New Jersey’s captain. “I feel that Lowell is a perfect fit for my game, and it’s a great program with a ton of history. I hope to make an impact in any way I can once I get there. Now the goal is to keep competing and win a Robertson Cup.”

Rivelli continued, “I’d like to thank my Mom and Dad, my sister, my girlfriend, the rest of my family and friends, and all of my current and former teammates. I also want to thank Craig [Doremus] and the rest of the coaching staff, as well as Matt Weis, for their help with the up and downs this year. I can’t wait to put on a River Hawk uniform.”
