Aberdeen forward Bulgakov makes NCAA DI commitment
The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Leonid Bulgakov has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey for Augustana University in the CCHA.
Bulgakov, 19, is a 5’9/170 lbs. native of Minsk, Belarus. He is in his first season with the Wings and has 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points in just 26 games played. During the 2021-22 season Leo played for Dinamo-Shinnik Bobruysk in the MHL last year and also represented his country at the 18 and under level.
"Leo came into camp in unreal condition, started to prove what kind of athlete he really was from day one. He is a relentless worker that plays the game the right way every day he hits the ice. Leos work ethic along with his skill will allow him to be a go to player at the NCAA level,” said Wings Head Coach & GM Scott Langer
"I am excited to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at Augustana University! I am thankful for my family, advisor, coaches, teammates, and everybody who helped me along the way,” said Bulgakov
Augustana University is located just down the road from Aberdeen, in Sioux Falls, SD. They are currently competing in their first season and have a 5-7-2 record under Head Coach Garrett Raboin.
