Chippewa forward Blanck makes NCAA DI commitment
The Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Talan Blanck has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
Blanck, 18, is in his first full season playing in the NAHL for the Steel. The 5’10/160 lbs. native of Fond du Lac, WI, is currently 2nd in team scoring so far this season with 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists) in 25 games played to date.
“I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I’d like to thank my family, friends, teammates and coaches who have helped me along the way!” stated Blanck.
Last season, Blanck made his NAHL debut with the Steel, appearing in six games and recording an assist.
He previously played youth hockey for Team Wisconsin and Fond du Lac Springs High School.
He is the sixth player on the 2023-24 Steel roster who is committed to play NCAA Division I hockey.
