Odessa forward Kadlecik makes NCAA DI commitment

November 16, 2023

The Odessa Jackalopes of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are very proud to announce that forward Michael Kadlecik has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the Air Force Academy in Atlantic Hockey.

Kadlecik is in his second season playing junior hockey in the NAHL for the Jackalopes. The 6’0/170 lbs. native of Lansing, NY, has played in all 18 games so far during the 2023-24 season where he has 4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points.

“It is a huge honor for me to be able to attend such a highly looked upon school. It is a very rewarding feeling knowing how much work it took for me to accomplish this lifelong goal of mine,” said Kadlecik.

During the 2022-23 season, Kadlecik played a good chunk of the season, totaling 47 games with 3 goals and 12 assists for 15 points. He has been a vital part of the offense along with being on the first power play unit for the Jacks.

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Kadlecik played youth hockey for the Bishop Kearney Selects.

He is the second player on the 2023-24 Jackalopes roster who is committed to play NCAA Division I hockey.
