Janesville forward Kruse makes NCAA DI commitment
The Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Haden Kruse has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
Kruse, 20, is currently in his fourth and final season of playing junior hockey. The 6’1/172 lbs. native of Nisswa, MN, is currently leading the Jets in scoring so far during the 2023-24 season with 27 points (9 goals, 18 assists) in 17 games played. His 27 points currently ranks 3rd in the NAHL in scoring.
“I am extremely proud and honored to announce my commitment to play D1 hockey at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I’d like to thank my family, friends, coaches, and teammates who have helped me get to this point,” said Kruse.
After playing high school hockey in Minnesota for Brainerd High for two seasons, Kruse made his NAHL debut in 2020-21 with the Minnesota Wilderness, appearing in three games.
During the 2021-22 season, Kruse played in 27 NAHL games for the Wilderness and recorded 19 points (8 goals, 11 assists).
Last season, Kruse spent the entire season in the USHL with the Tri City Storm and Omaha Lancers, recording 8 points in 45 games played.
Overall in 47 career NAHL games, Kruse had recorded 46 points.
He is the 6th player on the 2023-24 Jets roster who is committed to play NCAA Division I hockey.
