Generals outlast Mountain Kings in OT on Wednesday, 2-1
Northeast 2 @ New Hampshire 1 (OT) – The Northeast Generals snapped a four-game losing streak as goaltender Marks Slavinskis-Repe made 31 saves to lead his team to a 2-1 overtime win over the Mountain Kings in a matinee game on Wednesday.
After a scoreless 1st period, the Generals got on the board first early in the 2nd period on a goal from Joseph McGraw, his 4th goal of the season with an assist to Andrew DellaDonna. New Hampshire tied the game at 1-1 later in the 2nd period as Hunter Fetterolf netted his second goal of the season with assists to Will Murphy and Landon Steffen.
After a scoreless 3rd period, the Generals won the game in overtime on a nice give-and-go play from Matthew DeSpirt to Jacob Wilson for a backdoor goal and the game-winner.
Mountain Kings goalie Cooper Rautenstrauch made 32 saves in the OT loss.
