Mountain Kings complete perfect weekend with win in Maine
New Hampshire 6 @ Maine 5 – The Mountain Kings completed a three-win weekend and moved into sole possession of 3rd place in the East Division thanks to a 6-5 win in Maine in the lone NAHL game on Sunday. Linas Dedinas scored the final two goals for the Mountain Kings in the win.
Each team scored once in the 1st period with Nick Romeo scoring for Maine and Brandon Spaulding answering for New Hampshire.
In the 2nd period, the Nordiques took a 3-1 lead with goals from Jake Bernadet and Romeo. The Mountain Kings responded with four straight goals to take a 5-3 lead as Nick Reif, Tommy McDonough, Kai Dunits, and Dedinas all scored within a four-minute span of one another.
In the 3rd period, the Nordiques stormed back to tie the game as goals from Evan Orloff and Charles Tardif made it 5-5. With under five minutes remaining, Dedinas would net the game-winner.
Aidan Wright would make 31 saves in the win, while Thomas Heaney and Carter Richardson combined for 25 saves in the loss.
