D'Ancona lead Generals to OT win on Wednesday
New Hampshire 3 @ Northeast 4 (OT) – Generals forward Frank D’Ancona had a hat-trick, including the overtime-winning goal as Northeast picked up a 4-3 home win over the Mountain Kings on Wednesday.
The two teams were tied at 1-1 after one period as D’Ancona opened the scoring for the Generals with Michael Sullo answering for New Hampshire.
In the 2nd period, the Generals took a 2-1 lead as Emerson Miller scored his first goal of the season.
In the 3rd period, the Mountain Kings kept pace with goals from Nick Reif and Kai Dunits to tied the game at 3-3 as D’Ancona scored his second goal of the game.
Just over a minute into overtime, D’Ancona scored the game-winner on a back door pass to give the Generals a 4-3 win.
Toby Hopp made 38 saves in the win, while Aidan Wright made 38 saves in the loss.
