Kenai River goalie Wickstrom makes NCAA DI commitment

The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that goaltender Petter Wickstrom has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Canisius University in Atlantic Hockey.
Wickstrom, 19, is currently in his first season playing in the NAHL and second season of junior hockey overall. The 6’6/203 lbs. native of Stockholm, Sweden, has appeared in seven games to date and posted a 2-3-1 record with a 3.25 goals against average and an .896 save percentage.
“I’m honored to announce my commitment to play division 1 hockey for Canisius University. I would like to thank my teammates, coaches, family and everybody else around me who made this possible,” said Wickstrom.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Wickstrom played youth and a year of junior hockey in Sweden for Vannas HC.
