Maine defenseman Murch makes NCAA DI commitment
The Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that veteran defenseman Seth Murch has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the Air Force Academy in Atlantic Hockey.
Murch, 19, has been a staple on the blue line since joining the team late in the 2021-22 season. So far during the 2023-24 season, the 6’0/185 lbs. native of Lee, NH, had recorded one assist in eight games played.
“I’m honored to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey and serve my country at the United States Air Force Academy. I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches who have helped me along the way,” said Murch.
During the 2022-23 season, Murch posted six points in 58 regular season games and two points in seven Robertson Cup Playoff games.
In total, he has appeared in 75 career NAHL games and recorded 10 points.
“Seth not only gets better every day on the ice, but betters those around him and is always caught making others laugh off the ice,” said Nordiques head coach Nick Skerlick.
