Shreveport defenseman Danziger makes NCAA commitment
The Shreveport Mudbugs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Matthew Danziger has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Danziger, 20, just completed his third and final season playing hockey in the NAHL. The 6’6/238 lbs. native of Potomac, MD, appeared in all 60 regular season games for the Mudbugs during the 2022-23 season and had 17 points (2 goals, 15 assists). He also played in eight Robertson Cup Playoff games.
During the 2021-22 season, Danziger appeared in 59 NAHL games with the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks and recorded five points. He made his NAHL debut with Danbury during the 2020-21 season, appearing in 10 regular season games.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Danziger played youth hockey for Milton Academy and the Boston Bulldogs. He spent the 2017-18 season playing in the NAPHL for the Washington Little Caps 15U team where he recorded two points in nine NAPHL games.
