Bismarck forward Valkama makes NCAA commitment
The Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Logan Valkama has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Williams College.
Valkama, 21, just completed his second and final season playing in the NAHL. The 6’1/193 lbs. native of Vancouver, WA, began the 2022-23 season with the Shreveport Mudbugs, recording eight points (3 goals, 5 assists) in 19 games played.
In November, he was traded to Bismarck where he put up nine points (4 goals, 5 assists) in 27 games played the remainder of the season.
During the 2021-22 season, Valkama appeared in 46 regular season games for the Mudbugs and recorded 25 points (7 goals, 18 assists) in 46 games played.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Valkama spent the 2017-18 season playing in the NAPHL for the Arizona Bobcats 16U team, recording 14 points in 17 games played.
