Anchorage forward Morris makes NCAA commitment
The Anchorage Wolverines are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Cameron Morris has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for St. Norbert College.
Morris, 21, just completed his second and final season playing in the NAHL for the Wolverines and fourth season of junior hockey overall.
The 6’0/174 lbs. native of Anchorage, AK, had his best career season in 2022-23, finishing 3rd in team scoring with 58 points (13 goals, 45 assists) in 58 games played.
During the 2021-22 season, Morris recorded 55 points (11 goals, 44 assists) in 60 regular season games and put up another nine points in 10 Robertson Cup Playoff games as the Wolverines advanced all the way to the Robertson Cup title game.
Morris was also selected to and played in the 2022 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Midwest Division team where he had three points in two games played.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Morris played youth hockey in the NAPHL for two seasons with the Alaska Oilers 16U team in 2018-19 and the Oilers 15U team in 2017-18.
