New Mexico forward Carls makes NCAA commitment
The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward AJ Carls has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Hamline University.
Carls, 19, just completed his first season of junior hockey in the NAHL. The 5’11/190 lbs. native of Coon Rapids, MN, recorded 14 points (4 goals, 10 assists) in 48 games played during the 2022-23 regular season.
“I am proud and honored to announce my commitment to Hamline University to further my hockey and academic career! Thank you to all my family, friends, and coaches who have helped me on this journey,” said Carls on social media.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Carls played high school hockey in Minnesota for Centennial High.
