Wilderness forward O'Neil makes NCAA commitment
The Minnesota Wilderness of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Donovan O’Neil has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Colby College.
O’Neil, 20, just completed his second season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 6’0/189 lbs. native of Duxbury, MA, began the season with the El Paso Rhinos, recording six points in 11 games played.
In late October, O’Neil was traded to the Minnesota Wilderness where he put up 12 points in 42 games played. He also appeared in nine Robertson Cup Playoff games and had one point.
During the 2021-22 season, O’Neil played in 46 games for the Rhinos and had 15 points. Overall in 99 career NAHL games, O’Neil recorded 33 points.
