Harris brothers headed to Bismarck

January 9, 2008

The Bismarck Bobcats have traded forward Kurt Weston to the Kenai River Brown Bears for twins Jeffrey and Kevin Harris.

The Harris brothers, from Simi Valley, Calif., have combined for 44 points in 28 games. Jeffrey led the Brown Bears in scoring with 12 goals and 15 assists, while Kevin was fourth in scoring with four goals and 13 assists for Kenai River.

“We’ve had a tough time scoring this season and this was a good chance to get some more offense power,” said Bobcats coach Byron Pool.  “I’m looking for these two to possibly kickstart our offense.”

Weston, from Roseau, Minn., had five goals for seven points in 28 games with Bismarck.
