9 players with NAHL ties on final NHL Central Scouting list

April 15, 2019

Janesville Jets and NAHL Top Prospects goaltender Cole Brady is ranked #9 among North American goalies for the 2019 NHL Draft.

The record-breaking amount of player recognition, advancement, and commitments has continued for the North American Hockey League (NAHL) during the 2018-19 season, and the league is pleased to announce another milestone as several players have been recognized on the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters and goalies for the 2019 NHL Draft.

The list includes nine players with NAHL ties, including seven players that are currently playing in the NAHL in 2018-19, and two more players that previously played in the NAHL last season.

Over 100 NHL scouts, including those from NHL Central Scouting, were on hand at both the NAHL Showcase back in September, and the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in February.

The next big event for NHL scouts to see the NAHL’s talent on display is the 2019 NAHL Robertson Cup National Championship, which will be held in Blaine, Minnesota from May 10-14, 2019.

The record-breaking 331 NCAA commitments this past season and 1,345 NCAA commitments and 30 NHL Draft picks in the last five years have coincided with an increased presence on the annual NHL Central Scouting players to watch list.

To date, the NAHL currently has 235 NCAA commitments during the 2018-19 season.
