Coulee Region defenseman Koch makes NCAA DI commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Brandon Koch has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at the Air Force Academy, members of Atlantic Hockey.
Koch, 18, is in his first season of junior hockey in the NAHL. The native of Hastings, Minnesota, currently leads the Chill in scoring this season with 11 points (1 goal, 10 assists) in 11 games played to date.
Koch (6’0/171) has been on fire as of late, recording six points in his last four games.
“I am really excited to have the chance to join such a great hockey program. I am very thankful for my family who has supported me throughout my hockey career thus far. I can't wait to be apart of the Air Force family,” stated Koch.
Prior to playing this season in the NAHL for the Chill, Koch played two seasons at Shattuck-St. Mary’s prep school. While there, he recorded 65 points in 128 games played. Prior to that, Koch played for Hastings High School in Minnesota.
“The Chill organization is very excited for Brandon and his commitment to the United States Air Force Academy. Brandon in his rookie season has already proven his effectiveness at the NAHL level. He will be a large part of our success now and in the future,” said Chill head coach Ryan Egan.
