Johnstown defenseman Quetell makes NCAA DI commitment
October 11, 2017

The Johnstown Tomahawks, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Andrew Quetell has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Army for the 2019-20 season.
Quetell, a Cleveland, Ohio, native, is in his second season with the Tomahawks. Quetell, 19, has appeared in five games this season with Johnstown and recorded two assists.
Overall in his NAHL career, Quetell (6’1/180) has suited up for 65 career games, earning one goal and 13 assists.
"I couldn't be happier for Andrew and his family on his commitment to Army-West Point," head coach Mike Letizia said. "He is an outstanding hockey player, but more importantly a fantastic person. He has a great attitude every day and is such a low maintenance person to coach, never asks for anything special, just comes to the rink every day and gets to work. There is a certain level of standard that the staff at West Point likely holds their recruits to, and Andrew checks those boxes on and off the ice."
Prior to playing for the Tomahawks in the NAHL, Quetell played for the Cleveland Barons in the Tier I Elite League.
He is the second player on the Tomahawks roster this season who has an NCAA commitment.
