Zasowski steps down from Jr. Blues
April 17, 2017

The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), have announced that Head Coach and General Manager Tony Zasowski has stepped down from his position with the organization after five seasons.
Zasowski was announced Head Coach and GM in May of 2012 when owner Dan Ferguson first became an owner/member of the NAHL and purchased the rights to operate in the Springfield market. In five seasons with Springfield Zasowski has successfully promoted over 40 players to NCAA hockey and 15 players to the USHL.
“Tony came to Springfield with a goal of developing players and young men,” said Ferguson. “I am extremely proud of what Tony has accomplished and where our organization is today. Tony’s dedication to setting high standards has put our program on the map, and I am very thankful for what Tony has done for myself and the Springfield Jr. Blues program. I wish Tony all the best in his future endeavors.”
A search for a new Head Coach/GM is underway.
