The Brookings Blizzard, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Brandon Kruse has made his NCAA Division I commitment to play college hockey at Bowling Green in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA).
The 5’10/165 lbs. Saline, Michigan native just finished a successful NAHL Showcase picking up a goal and an assist in helping the Blizzard get off to a fast start with a 3-0-1 record. Kruse played in the Tier 1 Elite League U16 last year for Belle Tire. In 32 games last season, Kruse had 29 points.
Kruse, 17, is the third player on this year’s Blizzard roster who has made an NCAA Division I commitment.
He also took part in the USA Hockey Select 16 and Select 17 festivals the past two years.
“Brandon has come in and been one of our best players every day, and deserves every opportunity that comes his way. Bowling Green is getting a great player with a bright future,” said Andy Contois Brooking Blizzard Assistant Coach.
