New Jersey forward Birzitis makes NCAA commitment

The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Bruno Birzitis has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey and attend school at the University of Wisconsin-Superior beginning in the fall of 2016.
Birzitis, 21, completed his first season with the Titans and third in the NAHL overall, registering 14 goals and 27 assists for 41 points in 59 games played during the 2015-16 season. His 41 points led the team in scoring.
Birzitis (6’0/183) was also selected to and played in the 2016 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the East Division team, where he had one point in two games.
The Dobele, Latvia native finishes his three-year NAHL career with 33 goals and 57 assists for 90 points in 158 games.
The University of Wisconsin-Superior competes in the NCAA Division III WIAC and is coached by Rich McKenna, who is in his first season. McKenna coached the Titans last season.
Birzitis is the 10th NCAA commitment from the 2015-16 roster.
