New Jersey defenseman Menslage makes NCAA commitment
June 21, 2016
The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Dakoda Menslage has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey and attend school at Wentworth Institute of Technology beginning in the fall of 2016.
Menslage, 21, came to the Titans from the Odessa Jackalopes and finished the 2015-16 season with two goals and five assists for seven points in 31 games played.
The Orleans, Massachusetts, native skated in 139 career NAHL games over four seasons and finished with 14 goals and 30 assists for 44 points.
Menslage (6’2/225) began his junior career in 2012 with the Granite City Lumberjacks in the NA3HL, where he played in 20 games and had 11 points. His good play later turned into an opportunity with the Johnstown Tomahawks that season. He then spent a season and a half with Johnstown before being traded to Odessa.
Wentworth competes in the NCAA Division III ECAC Northeast and is coached by Jay Pecora, who is now in his 3rd season.
Menslage is the eighth NCAA commitment from the 2015-16 Titans roster.
The New Jersey Titans would like to congratulate Dakoda and his family on this wonderful accomplishment.
